Autumn is the time of falling leaves and seeds, wrap up warm and get out and explore!

Fun with conkers and acorns you could collect, estimate and count how many you have.

Fun fact – Did you know that the Horse Chestnut tree’s name comes from the horse shoe pattern that is on the branches, look closely.

Sticks are great fun , if you use your imagination they can become anything.

How about a magic wand for casting spells

How about a magic stirring stick to mix your magic potions

How about travelling around the world on your magic broom stick you could even go to outer space!

How about a fishing stick, see if you can catch a big one!

How about lots of sticks to build a den inside and out.

Don’t forget our Forest School rule carry your stick with care. A small stick  hold by your side. A large stick drag it behind you

Winter Fun

It might to cold outside but get those woolly hats and gloves on ,wrap up warm and go and have some fun.

See if you can spot if Jack Frost has been. Can you make a frosty pattern?

Grab a stick and make a picture in the frosty grass.

Collect lots of interesting natural materials ,using an old plastic container .make a pattern, fill with water (maybe add a few drops of food colouring or glitter!)leave outside on a cold night and by morning you have your own ice art.
