1st Half Summer Term:
This half term we will be exploring what it is like to live in a desert in our Geography work.
Our Design and Technology will be learning about Bridges, which links to our learning of our local area.
In writing the children will be exploring the book ‘Hidden Figures’ which will allow us to focus on the following areas: Non-chronological reports, formal persuasive letters, informal letters, diary entries, character descriptions and opinion pieces.
In Maths, we will be learning direction and position (Geometry).
In Science, our topic is ‘Earth and Space’.
For PE this term, we will be playing rounders and taking part in athletics events.
2nd Half Summer Term:
This half term, for our History, we will be delving into the past by exploring how our local area has changed over time History project!
Our Design and Technology learning will be on the topic of Controllable Vehicles which will allow us to visit a local museum for a trip.
In Maths, the children will learn about measurements (volume and capacity), as well as work on decimals.
In Science, our topic is ‘Animals including Humans’.
What a busy term we have!
