1st Half Summer Term
During this half term, our class theme will be The Seaside. We will be reading and discussing the text ‘Lucy and Tom at the seaside’. The children write lists and role play in the house. In maths, we will continue to subitise to five and begin to make repeating patterns. During Understanding the World, we will looking the life cycles of plants and animals. We will also be investigating magnets.
2nd Half Summer Term:
During this half term, our class theme will continue to be The Seaside our book focus will include The Rainbow Fish and a non-fiction text about fish. As part of the children’s music work the children will create a movement to 'under the sea' and capture experiences using music, dance and paint. During Understanding the World we will be making boats that float in water and investigate forces. In maths, the children will be continuing to make repeating patterns and comparing quantities.
