William Reynolds - What are we Learning this Term?
1st Half Summer Term:
Our whole school theme this term is Preserving Planet Earth, while in Year 3 our class theme will be Rotten Romans. In this half term we will be completing a project all about the Romans. We will be exploring Roman stories. We will question why the Romans came to Britain as well as deciding whether, in our opinion, the Romans really were rotten. Our design technology learning will support our history learning as we learn different ways to stitch in order to replicate a Roman coin purse.
Our Science learning for this half term will focus on plants. We will look at how they adapt, have the ability to produce their own food as well as building on our prior learning about what plants need to survive.
The children will be taught Athletics for indoor PE and Kick Rounders for outdoor PE.
2nd Half Summer Term

while in Year 3 our class theme will continue to be Rotten Romans.
In Science we will be learning about Light and how shadows are formed and changed.
